Achmad Sadali (1924-1987; Garut, West Java) studied at the Institut Teknology Bandung (ITB, Bandung Institute of Technology) in West Java under Ries Mulder (Dutch, 1909-1973). He received a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to study at Iowa State University and the New York Art Students League in the U.S.A., from 1956-1957. His abstract compositions have subtle use of space and nuances of color.
