  Title : Girls Carrying Offerings
  Artist : Han Snel
  Media : Oil on canvas
  Size : 70 x 50 cm
  Year : 1976
Description:
Elongated figures of Balinese women carry banten (offerings) on their heads. They extend the full length of the canvas and so seem larger than life. Focus is provided by contrasting colors placed to suggest a source of light. Slow and graceful motion is achieved through slender, vertical units along with strong geometric and organic shapes. Cool colors suggest a relaxed mood as a balance to the festive theme.
